What industry experts are saying about Longshot Precision’s adjustable bag rider in use:
-
The ABR worked well with both rear supports. The AI ASXR handles recoils like a champ, even when chambered in the stout .300 Norma Magnum, as mine is. With the ABR on the stock I found the rifle’s already excellent ergonomics noticeably improved. The odd-shaped piece of nylon that comes stock on the ASXR doesn’t have much surface engagement, so swapping to the larger bottom piece on the ABR was a big step up. The rifle tracked great on both bags, and I experienced less reticle jump than before.
The real magic of the ABR is the wheel that raises and lowers the base to fine tune the vertical position of the crosshairs. With the ABR pressed firmly into either bag so that they take a set—that’s the beauty of the lightweight Git-Lite fill, which provides sand-like stability at a fraction of the weight—the crosshairs don’t budge until you manipulate the wheel.

Functionality:
The PRS finger spacer kit is a replacement for the standard Precision Grip (flat top) finger spacers. PRS shooters need a thumb rest that can provide more control. Made in the USA.
The spacers will probably have to be modified to clear the stock. See attached picture
Consistent finger placement - (4 different thickness spacers provided)
Proper finger mechanics during the trigger pull
Faster follow-up shots (with bolt actions)
Thumb rest with raised surface to match thumb contour
Simply remove the screw (#1 Phillips head) and the finger spacers can be swapped or moved ‘forward or backward’ as some chassis have the trigger farther from the grip than others. 4 different thickness spacers are provided and 2 additional mounting screws
The kit is designed to replace all "Precision" grip finger spacers (NOT AR finger spacers)
Precision Adjustable Grip not included
The RPRR Brace is designed to mount directly to the RPRR stock to remove the flex in the lower picatinny rail section and Length Of Pull area. No modification required.
It ships with all supplied hardware for mounting the two halves together. It weighs 2oz - brace & bolts. Made in the USA. Tighten with a straight bit - finger tight (do not over tighten).
If you are interested in an Adjustable Bag Rider see below:
Adjustable Bag Rider that mounts to the RPRR (no mods needed) = Tall Rail Mounted ABR

The Flat mount ABR™ (Patented) will directly bolt on to the MPA BA Comp, Hybrid, ESR and Bergara Premier Competition with an MPA Chassis models and it is supplied with the proper length bolts (short dowels). The two step aluminum cross stud (called the Bag Rider Barrel) will be used and the ‘longer’ front mounting bolt - it will go up into the front slot of the ABR. The shorter bolt goes up into the rear slot. While ABR™ is opened start the two supplied bolts with your fingers - finish tightening with an Allen wrench. DO NOT take apart the ABR. There is a short 1/4-20 bolt installed in the ABR that has to be removed for applications other than the MPA chassis.

Direct Bolt On application:
MPA BA: Competition, Hybrid, ESR, Evolution, Lite, and Bergara Premier - Short Dowels (The Long dowels will require milling)
MPA Ultra Lite Chassis - Long Dowels (No mods needed)
MPA Hunter - Longer dowels (No mods needed)
Modifications Required:
MPA BA: Competition, Hybrid, ESR, Evolution, Lite, Ultra Lite, and Bergara Premier-to fit the Longer dowels the rear dowel will have to pass into (not thru) the stock so milling a pocket is required (See pic with BLACK stock) or see the Installs page
ORYX Chassis -(Long Dowels) If your chassis does not have the slot for the M-Lok - we suggest to reduce height added to the rear stock- that you directly bolt onto the lower stock without adding a picatinny rail. Since machining to your stock is required either way to add the bolt holes (for a Rail or ABR direct mount) the Flat Mount ABR has two small slots and counter bored areas for the bolt heads to be recessed. See pic to left of ORYX chassis with Flat Mount ABR. If you do have a M-lok slot the Rail Mounted ABR is what you need.
XYLO chassis - (Short Dowels) The lower rider (part of the stock) will need to have 2 bolt holes added to mount the Flat Mount ABR (which already has 2 small counterbored slots).
Sig Cross- The rear stock must be modified to fit the ABR and the holes milled in the ABR to clear 10/24 bolts. Please contact us for details. The LOP plate must be modified to clear rear dowel. See pic and ‘Installs’ page
MPA Matrix - Custom installation (milling required) see picture and ‘Installs’ page

Daniel Defense Delta 5 Pro - See the “Installs” page
APAC Chassis - from JP Rifles - See the “Installs”page

The Precision Rifle ABR™ has been designed from the ground up to be a direct replacement for the lower picatinny rail on both the Ruger Precision Rifle (RPR) and RPR Magnum. The two lower riders are designed to provide optimal performance when used with a rear bag with ears. The ‘Bag Selection’ page goes over the lower rider differences.
Recoil plates fit the RPR and RPR MAGNUM. Designed to provide cant adjustment. Two options raise the top of the recoil pad by 1” or 2" and one is the size of the new recoil pad. The bolt pattern is specific to the Limbsaver Trap/Skeet -Small - recoil pad #10534. This pad was intentionally selected for its relatively thin side walls thus eliminating the need for grinding. Locating the much softer and wider recoil pad higher places the center of the pad over the shoulder where it belongs for prone shooting. If you shoot from the bench the 1” is a better option. Included are two bolts that will be inserted into the recoil pad for mounting. Note - The “stock recoil pad” will not mount to this recoil plate without modification.
Measure your Length of Pull (LOP = from trigger to the end of recoil pad) before hand to aid in final adjustment.
Both are made and assembled in the USA from American 6061 Alum and finished with Class II Anodizing.
Separate “Installation” and maintenance instructions will be included in the box.

The Bolt on Adjustable Bag Rider (Patented) is designed to fit the Cadex stock and reduces any additional height being added to the rear by placing the threaded stud up through the lower portion of the frame. It also places the rear dowel in-between the stock and the recoil plate. It will require machining the stock to mill the hole for the stud and milling a slot in the recoil plate to allow full closure of the stock around the rear dowel. The ‘Bolt on’ ABR provides 1.25” travel and the same superior functionality as the other ABRs while keeping the stud mostly contained in a dirt free environment in some installations.
1.5” Thumb Wheel - Fine Thread option is available with the Hardened dowels for very heavy rifles
Caliber Restrictions:

The loading blocks are designed to fit the Desert Tech rifles. Due to the different frame sizes - the ABR could be underneath the magazine on the smaller models (making it a single feed). A loading block instead of a magazine is recommended as it provides additional spacing for the adjustment hand. As you can see in the additional pics the magazine interferes with easy access to the thumb wheel.

Wave goodbye to the bulky, costly gear you lug to the range. Whether you're hitting the bench or taking a field shot, you'll enjoy unparalleled stability and precision micro-adjustment wherever you go!

Functionality:
Consistent finger placement - (4 different height spacers provided)
Proper finger mechanics during the trigger pull
Faster follow-up shots (with bolt actions)
Thumb rest
Less interference with hand during recoil
The LSP Adjustable Grip (Patents Pending) allows the shooter to select the proper height finger spacer that places the trigger finger properly and consistently on the trigger. Also limiting the trigger finger to only move with the proper mechanics. Simply remove the screw (#1 Phillips head) and the finger spacers can be swapped or moved ‘forward or backward’ as some chassis have the trigger farther from the grip than others. A nylon lock nut is pressed inside the grip (no loctite is needed). The finger spacers are contoured to provide a natural thumb rest. The grip is provided with a hole for the ‘safety ’ spring. 4 different thickness spacers are provided and a 1/4-28 x 7/8” mounting bolt and 1/4" ID star washer. An Extended 3/16” Allen / Hex wrench is needed for tightening the grip thru the hole in the back of the grip (for the Vertical grips). Made in the USA. Approx. 3.5oz. Fits all standard mil-spec AR grips.
The ‘Precision Adjustable Grip’ is supplied on the “Accuracy Solutions ORCA” chassis because there is nothing better.
They are designed to replace “All standard Mils Spec AR grips”.
The “Precision Vertical Adjustable Grip” is designed for Precision shooting - for use when the thumb is always over the trigger finger and additional clearance is needed between the front of the ABR to the back of the grip.
The “Precision Angled Adjustable Grip” is designed with a slight angle and is for use when the thumb is always over the trigger finger spacer. It may not provide enough “open space” behind the grip if an ABR is installed.
The Precision “Angle Mounted”Adjustable Grip is designed for the “Accuracy International -AXSR & AX50” rifles with the ‘Angled’ grip mounting area. After mounted the grip is Vertical like the Precision Vertical grip above. See the attached picture.
AK Precision Vertical Grip - is designed to utilize the Precision Finger spacers which provide 2 mounting locations. For accuracy the thumb should be placed on the trigger finger spacer but the grip was designed to allow the thumb behind the grip.
The ‘AR Vertical Adjustable Grip” is provided with shorter trigger finger spacers which allow the trigger finger to reach the trigger if the thumb is behind the grip (only one mounting position is provided for the AR grip finger spacers). For use with an ABR
The ‘AR Angled Adjustable Grip” is provided with shorter trigger finger spacers which allow the trigger finger to reach the trigger if the thumb is behind the grip (only one mounting position is provided for the AR grip finger spacers). NOT FOR USE WITH some ABRs.
The Adjustable Grips are Long Shot Precision’s second shooting sports industry-changing enhancement and our 8th & 9th patents.
After many months of working with the top-level ELR shooters has led to the best possible grip available. It’s designed to have the least amount of interference with the hand during recoil (when the thumb is on the spacer). Sept 24, 2023, King of 2 Miles Global Finals - 2nd place used the Precision Vertical Adjustable Grip and a Tall Rail Mounted ABR.
