Purchase a new rider with hardened dowels for your existing Adjustable Bag Rider. Simply select the options you would like that matches the thumb wheel threads you have. New rider with Hardened dowels with the stud you selected

New Snap ring for the top of the one dowel - to limit over travel

Stud will be greased and ready for assembly

Installation: have ABR parallel with the ground. Remove existing Snap ring with your finger nails. Unscrew the rider until it can be pulled down and out. Maintain the thumb wheel centered over the stud hole. Insert new rider and begin rotating thumb wheel to raise the rider enough to install the new snap ring.
